Orthopaedic Trauma Specialists COVID-19 Response Information

As our practice continues to take care of the needs of the Greensboro community and surrounding area, our main objective is to keep our patients healthy, our staff healthy, and do our part to decrease the rate of transmission of the virus.

Below is some general information in light of the pandemic and what we are doing to stay safe:

  1. Patients are only allowed to have 1 visitor with them during their office visit. If more than one person accompanies a patient, we ask that they wait outside in their vehicle to decrease the volume of people in the waiting area.

  2. Children under 12 years of age, unless a patient, are not permitted in the office or waiting room.

  3. We ask that you reschedule your appointment if you fall into any of the following scenarios:

-Experience any symptoms of COVID-19 (including fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc.)

-Any recent exposure to someone with the virus or any family member that has been recently sick

-Recent travel outside the state in the last 14 days

  4. We will attempt to identify patients who can have their appointments postponed. This includes all orthopaedic conditions that can safely wait for a later evaluation.

  5. We continue to clean each and every room and equipment after every patient encounter. We also clean the waiting room multiple times a day with disinfectant wipes/spray. We perform rigorous hand hygiene throughout the day and between patient encounters. We ask that our patients perform proper hand hygiene as well prior to entering our facility.

Thank you for your understanding as we take these precautions to keep our patients and staff safe during this pandemic.
