Michael H. Handy, MD

Dr. Handy is a Winston-Salem native. He graduated with Highest Honors from UNC-Chapel Hill. After completing medical school at Duke University, he completed a general surgery internship and orthopaedic residency at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. He went on to complete a fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Handy has been practicing orthopaedic trauma in Greensboro since 2005 and founded Orthopaedic Trauma Specialists in 2007. He is currently a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. Dr. Handy has been involved in teaching orthopedists and health care professionals both locally and nationally.

 

Kevin P. Haddix, MD

Dr. Haddix grew up in Southern New Jersey, outside of Philadelphia. He attended University of Virginia for his undergraduate degree where he graduated with High Honors. He obtained his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where he was selected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed an orthopaedic residency at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. He went on to complete a fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology in Chattanooga, TN at Erlanger Medical Center in association with University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He joined Orthopaedic Trauma Specialists in 2018 and is currently a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.

 

Keith Paul, PA-C

Member, Orthopaedic Trauma Association

Keith has been with Orthopaedic Trauma Specialists for over a decade. He was originally from Long Island, NY and ventured to Greensboro in 2001 to play soccer at Guilford College. After graduation, he became a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He went on to the Physician Assistant Program at Quinnipiac University, graduating as valedictorian. Keith is a valuable asset to our team and is skilled in the evaluation and treatment of orthopaedic and sports injuries. He also has special expertise in the area of osteoporosis and metabolic bone health.

 

Sarah Y. McClung, PA-C

Sarah recently joined Orthopaedic Trauma Specialists after graduating from High Point University’s Physician Assistant Program. Prior to enrolling in PA school, Sarah graduated Cum Laude from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. She has extensive experience in the medical field taking care of medically complex patients. Sarah is a North Carolina native and was born and raised in Clemmons, NC.
